The Russell County Public Library volunteer program is committed to encouraging community participation to enhance Library programs and services.  The Library staffs an adequate number of regular or weekly volunteers to meet needs in the collection, during special events, or for project-based assignments.

When not actively recruiting, volunteer applications may still be submitted.  Applications will be kept on file for one year from the date of submission and will be referred to in the event of an opening.

Student Groups or Community Service

Student groups or organizations seeking to complete community service at the Library must contact the Library Director in advance to discuss potential service opportunities.  An adult representative from the group is responsible for monitoring the behavior of the group and their performance.
