The Makery

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic and CDC guidelines, we are unable to allow public use of our rooms. We are not taking any reservations at this time.

Maximum room capacity (35)

The Makery is RCPL’s version of a traditional multipurpose program room meets an innovative library makerspace, which is really just a gathering space for people to work on projects and share ideas, equipment, and knowledge.  The Makery is home to regular tween and teen programs sponsored by the Library, as well as our weekly Sewing Circle which meets Tuesdays from 8:00-10:00 am. With movable tables and chairs, electric outlets, data ports, and access to the Library’s Wi-Fi, The Makery is also available for public use as a meeting room suitable for groups of up to 35 people.  The Makery can only be used during the Library’s normal operating hours.

The Makery also features a variety of technologies available for public use:

  •   Large format printer
  •   Silhouette Cameo 4 precision cutting machine
  •   Button maker
  •   Photo and document scanner
  •   Book binder

Check back soon for additional information regarding orientation classes for using The Makery and all its devices.
