The Green at RCPL is a 5-acre addition developed as an expression of our commitment to making space and improving Russell County’s quality of life in harmony with its growing industry.

• 5,000 square foot pavilion for large scale Library, community, and private events up to 250 people

• A sensory playspace for children of all ages and abilities
• A ¼-mile pedestrian path
• Reflection areas for reading, studying, gathering, and eating

April 2024:  Legislative Funding Allocated

Spring 2025:  Design Finalized

Summer 2025:  Groundbreaking and Construction Begins

Summer 2026:  Substantial Completion and Opening
