Jesse Murrell

Library Assistant & Outreach Services

If you can't come to the library to check out a book, Jesse Murrell is the guy who will bring it to you. Jesse has served as the coordinator of outreach services at Russell County Public Library for four years. Jesse is a graduate of Russell County High School and Somerset Community College. He graduated in spring 2014 with an associate's degree and plans to further his education with an emphasis on library science at Northern Kentucky University. When he's not working or going to school, he enjoys hanging out with friends, playing basketball, watching movies, playing video games, reading and writing.

Jesse was first hired at RCPL to help with book prep work, such as laminating book jackets, taping the inside of paperbacks, applying bar codes, and cataloging. He also has work study experience at SCC, and job-shadowed at The Times Journal in Russell Springs in 2012.

Though he lives in Jamestown, he is a proud Louisville native. He has one dog, Jackie, a Jack Russell terrier who has long been considered a family member.
