Great Things Going On at the Library

Written by

Great things are happening at the Russell County Public Library!

The Branch located on Main Street in Russell Springs is up and running in full capacity again. Minor changes can be seen around the library and patrons love it!

The third annual Cozy Up to Our Books contest is in full swing. Open to all kids thru 6th grade. Kids get one entry for every 5 books they check out. Two winners will be selected on December 18th. The handmade quilts, which are generously donated by a patron every year, are on display at the Library (one at the Main and one at the Branch).

The deadline for our first annual Adult Coloring Contest is approaching. There are three coloring pages to choose from. Coloring pages may be picked up at either the Main Library in Jamestown or the Branch in Russell Springs. Finished pages should be returned to the Library by November 25. The winners will be selected during the first week of December by our story hour kids.

Do you have overdue fines? It’s okay! Bring in some clean, unexpired non-perishable food items and we will waive your fines. Food donations will be going to God’s Food Pantry in Russell Springs. We will run Food for Fines thru December 18th. (Lost or Damaged fines cannot be waived.)
