The Russell County Public Library is excited to announce the launch of our new digital archives website at a reception open to all local history lovers on Friday, March 10 at 10:30 am at the Main Library in Jamestown.  Researching local history has never been easier:  If you remember days of the past, using the old microfilm machine to scan page by page of our newspaper collection, you'll love how quick and easy it is to search for names, dates, articles, photos, and more with our new archive.  The Library's digital collection includes issues of The Russell County News from 1939 to 2003 and The Times Journal from 1949 to 2006.  Visit the Library for our reception on Friday, March 10, or any day after to start your own research into Russell County's rich history!
